These selected sites are focused on consumer issues and, hopefully, will provide you with the information you need to make wise consumer decisions and what to do in those instances when you loose control of your resources or feel you have been treated unfairly.

Our government seems to have a plethora of consumer resources and alerts. It is almost overwhelming to see how much is devoted to warning the public about one thing or another. However, I would rather know than not, if that Peanut Butter jar I have in my cabinet needs to be tossed out. And, speaking of grocery items . . . be sure and check the dates on everything you buy and watch for items not stored at correct temperatures.

For consumers that are being hounded by illegal collectors or marketers, help is online. Find out your rights and their tactics and what to do when you feel they have crossed over the line. Don't ever assume, however, that the government has your back. Laws and regulations take a long time to change and even longer to be enforceable enough to be of any real benefit to the consumer. Let the buyer beware is what we all learned in school and in this day and age of scams and fraud and identity theft, that old adage is truer than ever.
