| Any genealogy research brings a person in touch with the history of the times within a specific area as much as their own lineage. Those that came before me seemed to have moved around a lot more then than now. My findings have taken me all over the place. But, mostly I am stuck in Texas and its History, trying to sort through my bio-roots and my adopted ones as well. On the adopted side: my mother's family was a pioneer family here in Lubbock. They had migrated from Tennessee in a covered wagon. My father's family lived in Mississippi and Louisiana before Texas. . .and on the bio-side, I am still confused about who is who. And, so it goes, the genealogy virus strikes again. |
